Our First Picture Together - 2004 Disneyland

We met back in 2004 at his cousin's house. We had so many ups and downs when we first got together - many people didn't think we would last. We actually separated for six months and decided that we couldn't live without each other and we would get through anything together. Six years later...we're still together. We have been through so much together and I can truly say that I wouldn't know where I would be without him - he is my best friend, my lover - he's everything that I could ever have hoped for in a husband and hopefully a father.

Proposal

Truth be told - Jer couldn't wait to propose to me in Carmel...so the night before as we're getting into bed so we can leave early...he comes from around the bed (I'm laying on my side) and he gets down on one knee and I knew then and there what was happening. The only thing he could do was to open the box and before he could say anything...I grabbed him and told his yes! Of course, afterwards we felt so awkward because we didn't want to tell anyone that we got engaged at 11 PM while we were in bed. LOL
